Thank you for sharing. The word of the day has been “signs.” As in the signs one gets from the universe. The funny thing about your piece for me is I’m headed to Idlewild for my birthday this weekend. I went during Xmas and had a great time. We’re looking forward to going back. So… my question for you… just a funny coincidence? Or a sign?

Is flirting important? Absolutely! It’s easy to lose the spark in long term love. People should become advanced in the art of flirting with their partners. Not only to play into the things you know they like, but to surprise them. All of life is an improve. If we get stuck performing the same scripts we will get bored. Flirting is a form of play and engagement. You need to tune into each other. I think your poem captures that give and take.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read the poem!

One can see it both as a coincidence and a sign. We humans attribute meaning to a coincidence to generate positive momentum in our lives. And that's a very good thing. It reminds me of the book 'The Alchemist' where the leading character would read coincidences as what he called 'Personal Legend' and it helped him to keep moving forward in his journey.

I wish you a Happy Birthday in advance for the coming weekend! It's been so hot in Los Angeles, Idyllwild will have much nicer weather.

If you find yourself in the main square (near the Rustic Theater) and if you see the free library there, I would love to know if someone took the book I left and if there are new books now!

Have fun in Idyllwild! If you get a chance, meet Mayor Max there!

And thank you for sharing your thoughts on flirting! It was truly interesting to read your thoughts on it.

I thought this was very entertaining. I love the story at the beginning about the free mini libraries dotted around. So kind of you to offer a book to people. This is such a lovely idea. The poem was very interesting. Thank you for sharing it!

Hi Joanna, I am so happy to read that you found it entertaining! I write this substack to entertain the readers. It's what gives me most joy! People have busy lives and so I like giving them a little break!

I am glad that these free mini libraries are opening up. And there are actually so many of them! They have a map online and when I looked at it, I saw that there were 8-9 of them just in walking distance from me. It made me realize that a lot of us have so books that are collecting dust, so might as well share!

I hope to continue to entertain you in the future as well!

I enjoyed your poem! I like how you walk us through the set and stage of your poems at the end! That’s something I don't see a lot on Substack, and it's like getting a backstage seat at the production! And yes flirting is very important in a healthy relationship it's a beautiful dance that can be clumsy or cute but unique between two people.

I am so glad you enjoyed the poem and the backstage info on the creation of the poem! I spend a lot of time thinking about the post and not just the poem. My goal is to entertain the readers. It's what makes me most happy!

I love how you called flirting a beautiful dance in a healthy relationship! I like that metaphor! Thank you for sharing that!

Flirting is legal only in a relationship otherwise it’s harassment 👀…

Btw, You have written so beautifully

Hi Tabasum, hope you’re doing well! Thank you for checking out the poem. I completely agree with you! It’s important to have a good relationship with that person and read the signs. Comfort and consent are imperative.
