Dear readers,
He saw her only once, but he can’t forget her.
I’ve Gone Mad For You
I’ve gone mad for you I’m sailing Going farther into the love ocean I’m wailing I’ve gone mad for you When I saw you at the beach I felt my heart would burst Trust me, this is my first time In love, I am immersed I wish to tell you I’m ailing Going farther into the love ocean I’m wailing I’ve gone mad for you You may not remember me But my beautiful queen Ever since I have seen you On my mind, you have been I wish to meet you I’m hailing Going farther into the love ocean I’m wailing I’ve gone mad for you -Niraj Pancholi
A note on the poem
With this poem, I wanted to capture a man’s sudden, intense feelings for a woman he saw once for a brief moment.
A glimpse of her and she was gone. Gone forever.
He knows he would never get a chance to get to know her. Or get a chance to talk to her. Or see her.
But his heart hopes that he does.
Maybe if his feelings are strong, he would see her again.
Someday. Somewhere.
It makes no sense, yet it makes perfect sense to his aching heart.
These feelings for him are painful, like an ailment, but he is glad for it. He doesn’t want to be out of it. It’s a pain he enjoys.
For days and for weeks, all he thinks about is her face and her beauty.
Why? He doesn’t know.
At this point, he venerates her: She’s his queen. He’s her subject.
Though, most likely, she didn’t even see him. Or if she did, most likely, she doesn’t remember him.
For her, he was just a part of the crowd. A background blur.
And he knows this.
Yet, his feelings for her are immense. As immense as an ocean. And he is on a long journey of love.
Sailing farther...
And farther…
A question for you: Can love be that simple, that easy, that fast? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments.

Beautifully captures that bittersweet ache of unspoken love Well written
Very beautiful 😍
But it makes me think of the concept of men and women, how differently we recieve things. Men fall in love with a woman's beauty and women fall in love with what a man's words.
So women wear makeup and men lie.
I don't make the rules. Lol
